The Tank SUV 500 has received armored protection. The car, which can withstand shots from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and explosions from RGO and F1 grenades, has been shown to Russians. Photos of the car after testing at the training ground have appeared online.
The SUV has hidden-type protection installed. The presence of armor can only be determined by the windows, which have a wide and black border. The armored capsule corresponds to the Br4 protection class.
At the training ground, the car was shot at with a regular Kalashnikov assault rifle (AK74-7N10), its modernized version (AKM-57-N-231), as well as two pistols – Yarygin with an armor-piercing cartridge (PYa-7N21), and SR1M-7N28. In addition, the car was blown up with RGO and F1 grenades. The car from Armour Group passed the tests.
The car has appeared in the company's catalogue. Its cost is 16 million rubles, which is almost 10 million more than the version without protection. In terms of technical specifications, the armored and regular versions of the SUV are identical. Under the hood is a 385-horsepower engine. The gearbox is automatic. The drive is all-wheel drive.
