An armored vehicle "Buran" from RIDA company was spotted on the streets of Moscow. The 10-ton machine, equipped with a snorkel and emergency lights, belongs to the non-departmental security of the capital's metro. "Buran" is listed on the balance sheet of the State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Metro" since August 2023.
The armored vehicle is equipped with "mud" tires, a winch, a snorkel and power bumpers. The car accommodates ten people.
It is unknown for what purposes the "Moscow Metro" acquired such a serious car. The question of its price also remains open. In the secondary market, "Burans" cost about 17.5 million rubles.
It should be noted that in addition to the "Moscow Metro", such equipment is used by the Federal Security Service (FSO) and the motor pool of the administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.
Let us remind you that "Buran" was created on the basis of the GAZ-3308 "Sadko" truck. Almost all the technical part is taken from it: brakes, suspension, engine, axles and frame. The armored vehicle is equipped with both manual and automatic transmission. The latter is from partners from China.
