Yandex has introduced a new feature in its video search engine that allows excluding videos with slow loading from the search. According to the company's press service, users can now activate a filter to see only those videos that load quickly and do not create problems during playback.
The filter is available on both computers and mobile devices. To activate it, simply click the button in the "Search" section for videos. The system will remember the settings and apply them by default in subsequent searches. The filter can be disabled at any time.
Yandex has indexed over 6 billion videos on the internet and continues to develop filters to improve user experience. In the future, it is planned to add other filters that will allow choosing the platforms from which videos will be shown in search results.
This update in "Search" comes against the backdrop of problems with access to YouTube in Russia. In early August, the video hosting service faced problems with playing videos in high quality. Later, it stopped working in browsers on desktop PCs in Russia.
