Rusatom Chemistry JSC, part of Rosatom's Fuel Division, has acquired a 50% stake in the capital of Format Environmental Solutions LLC (FES LLC), a leading Russian manufacturer of neutralizers for exhaust gas treatment and complete exhaust systems. The production facilities of FES LLC are located in Togliatti, Samara Region.
This transaction will strengthen Rosatom State Corporation's position in the market for exhaust gas treatment products, where the company is already a leader in the production of automotive catalysts.
President of TVEL JSC, Natalya Nikipelova, noted that in the context of the relevance of national technological sovereignty in the automotive industry, Rosatom is ready to support Russian automakers, ensuring a stable supply chain in areas where the company has competencies. This applies to both cars with internal combustion engines and electric vehicles, where Rosatom State Corporation plays a significant role in shaping a new industry in Russia.
The production of automotive exhaust gas treatment systems, along with the development of energy storage devices for electric vehicles, fully complies with the principles of sustainable development, helping to reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
