A deep drilling machine has started operating at the "AEM-Spetsstal" metallurgical plant. This was reported by the press service of the State Corporation "Rosatom".
The new equipment is more efficient than its counterparts in terms of technical parameters.
The introduction of new high-tech equipment at "AEM-Spetsstal" will double the pace of manufacturing parts for the nuclear industry, energy sector, and icebreaker fleet – industries where very strict requirements have always been imposed on quality and adherence to deadlines.
The length of the machine is more than 56 meters (like three subway cars). The device will allow to hone and drill holes up to 23 meters deep. High processing accuracy is ensured through the integration of digital solutions.
