At the MIMS-2024 exhibition, journalist Maxim Kadakov drew attention to the Murommashzavod booth. The company demonstrated its capabilities in developing complex components. In particular, the plant presented a steering rack with an electric power steering, designed for both large passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, similar to long-wheelbase Gazelles and Ford Transit.
This rack, actually intended for Aurus vehicles, was developed with a modular design, which allows it to be customized to the specific requirements of the customer. The plant has mastered the full production cycle, including torque and position sensors, and can also adapt the rack for unmanned vehicles. A version without an amplifier is also provided.
The mechanical parts of the rack are processed with high precision — up to the 6th grade of accuracy. The plant carries out surface mounting of electronic components, PCB routing and assembly of control units. Despite the fact that micro-elements are purchased from third-party manufacturers, the plant is developing software to control these components.
