Currently, all ZNPP units are in a "cold shutdown" state. Station employees continue to service the equipment, monitoring the radiation background. They did not detect any changes exceeding natural values.

According to Evgeny Yashin, Communications Director of ZNPP, IAEA experts were informed about the situation. The reasons for the disconnection of the "Ferroalloy-1" power supply line are unknown.

Later, the press service of "Rosenergoatom" stated that power unit No. 4 of the Kursk NPP will be disconnected from the grid on August 25 for scheduled maintenance. The repair, which is scheduled for 59 days, will be carried out according to the schedule.

About 2,000 specialists will perform 13,000 technical operations. This includes modernization and extension of the equipment's service life.
