Сбивает снаряд HIMARS, ракеты Storm Shadow и ATACMS: каковы возможности российского ЗРК «Тор-М2КМ»

The complex has a special architecture that gives it broad operational and combat capabilities

Russian military personnel on the front lines reliably protect the sky thanks to the 9M331MKM Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile system. It is designed to protect important military facilities from high-precision weapons strikes in difficult meteorological and jamming environments.

The Tor-2MKM SAM system is a modification of the Tor-M2E and features a modular design and the ability to place technical and combat equipment on any platform of appropriate load capacity.

The Tor-M2 SAM system effectively engages all types of targets. The vehicle can handle not only missiles such as HIMARS, ATACMS, Storm Shadow, but also various types of UAVs. Aircraft and helicopters, in particular the notorious American F-16s, are not difficult targets for the SAM system.

The complex was developed by the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern and the Kupol Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant, which is part of it.

The Tor-M2KM is a fully autonomous system capable of full operation and combat missions. The module length does not exceed 7.5 m, width - 2.9 m, full height (with supports) - 3.2 m. Maximum weight - 15 tons. The Tor-M2KM is significantly smaller and lighter than other complexes in its family.

Main characteristics of the Tor-M2KM SAM system:

Air target engagement zone:

  • in range — 1000-15000 m
  • in height — 10-10000 m
  • in terms of course parameter — up to 8000 m
  • Number of simultaneously engaged targets — 4

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Kalashnikov concern ahead of schedule delivered a batch of KUB loitering munitions to the troops. This was achieved through a deep modernization of production.
