The "Moskvich" plant wants to use Russian steel in the production of cars. For this purpose, it is planned to organize stamping production. This was announced to journalists by the commercial director of the enterprise, Maxim Zlatokrylets.
Currently, all stamps in the world are produced in South Korea. The lightest stamp weighs about 200 tons. Now we are faced with the question of where to get the stamp, how to bring it. But we are ready, it is in the plans.
According to him, importing steel products to Russia is not only strange from the point of view of logistics - because it is expensive, but also unprofitable because of the quality - unprocessed steel transported by sea is not the best option.
While the company has problems with the launch of stamping production, nevertheless, the plant is focused on the use of domestic steel.
Zlatokrylets also said that in 2025 it is planned to localize the production of interior parts, fuel tanks, bumpers and other automotive components.
