The Sevastopol company "IT Park RUS" (resident of the "IT-Crimea" technology park) will develop software for controlling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to the company's founder, Dmitry Gachko.
One of the projects being implemented at the IT Garage startup studio is the Wheelies drone control platform development project. The goal of the project is to develop software that will allow UAVs to be used without operator intervention in a fully autonomous mode.
The new software is expected to allow drones to navigate the terrain using video streams without a GPS signal and automatically bypass obstacles in their path. The development will make it possible to use several UAVs simultaneously in the complete absence of communication.
The project plans to prepare not only software that provides all of the above functions, but also to develop the necessary interfaces that will ensure the interaction of various UAVs. Thus, drone manufacturers and operators will be able to use the full range of functionality.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a simulator for training in the management of all types of drones will appear in Russia.
