Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopters have become reliably protected from missiles thanks to onboard electronic warfare systems. This was reported by Rostec.
The heavily armed Ka-52 attack helicopter, due to a number of systems of the onboard complex created by our KRET, is capable of diverting a salvo of more than a dozen missiles. A case was recorded when 14 shells were fired at the "Alligator", and all of them were "deceived" by the standard electronic warfare system.
At the same time, this number of missiles is not the limit for the equipment; it can "deceive" even more. As part of the described case, the enemy simply ran out of ammunition, Mikheev added.
Currently, KRET is working on creating even more advanced electronic warfare protection for combat helicopters.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Chinese Desertcross 1000-3 all-terrain vehicle was armed with the Igla-S MANPADS. Footage of the novelty has already gone viral on the Web.
