Over 1.5 million transactions have been conducted as part of the pilot project for the implementation of the universal QR code from the National Payment Card System (NSPK). This was reported by the company's press service.
Currently, 20 banks are participating in open testing, with 15 already processing payments using the new unified QR code. With its help, customers can pay for goods and services in more than 74,000 trade and service enterprises, including both regional outlets and federal chains.
The project, which started at the end of June 2024, has enabled over 1.5 million transactions in the first two months of testing. The universal QR code can be displayed on a terminal screen, printed on a paper receipt, or in another convenient way. When scanning the code, users can choose a payment method via the Faster Payments System, the bank's pay-service, installment service, and in the future, the digital ruble.
