Specialists from the Nevsky Shipbuilding-Ship Repair Plant (part of USC) loaded the main engines onto the under-construction medium sea tanker "Engineer-Admiral Kotov" (Project 23130). The units were delivered to the plant by water, the company's press service reported.
The engines have improved power and energy efficiency characteristics and weigh about 60 tons. Together with the equipment necessary for their operation, the engines constitute the main power plant of the vessel.
About the tanker "Engineer-Admiral Kotov"
The tanker was developed by specialists from the "SpetsSudoproekt" Design Bureau. It is designed for receiving, storing, and transporting various types of cargo, including the delivery of fuel on the move to other vessels that are 50-100 m away from the "Engineer-Admiral Kotov."
