"Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky" will build four Project 21980 "Grachonok" boats for the Russian Navy. The state contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was signed on August 13 as part of the X International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024".
Boats of this project have been built at the enterprise since 2008. They are designed to protect the water areas of naval bases of the Navy. High seaworthiness and modern equipment allow solving a wide range of tasks inherent in ships of much larger displacement.
"Grachonok" is designed to combat underwater sabotage and terrorist forces and means. Hydroacoustic and electronic warfare equipment allows you to search for underwater objects, including small and low-observable ones.
The boat is equipped with large-caliber machine guns, anti-sabotage grenade launchers, and man-portable air defense systems.
