ЛМЗ успешно внедрил современную установку для плазменной резки

It will reduce the time to create armored hulls for anti-aircraft missile systems

Lipetsk Mechanical Plant (LMZ LLC, part of the Kalashnikov concern) has introduced an innovative plasma cutting machine into production. It is used in the creation of armored hulls for anti-aircraft missile systems. This was reported by the company's press service.

The new unit is equipped with a rotating 3D head with an output current of 400 A. This makes it possible to create blanks from special steel and cut metal sheets of great thickness with the simultaneous cutting of welding bevels of various configurations.

Such advanced equipment significantly reduces the production time of products and increases labor productivity. The company will continue to modernize and expand its capacity to meet the growing needs of the domestic defense industry.
Veniamin Sizov, Executive Director of LMZ LLC

The machine combines gas and plasma cutting technologies. Together, they allow the production of complex geometric shapes up to 80 mm thick. High-precision cuts of blanks up to 200 mm thick are performed using gas cutting equipment.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov will increase the production of hulls for SAMs many times over.
