The model consumes 15% less electricity

The Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ, part of TMH) has supplied industrial electric locomotive NPM2M No. 027 to the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK). This was reported by the company's press service.

NPM2M is an improved industrial electric locomotive. It operates on an asynchronous traction drive with a bogie axle suspension on rolling bearings. The model is also equipped with intelligent drivers with built-in protection against short circuits and switching overvoltages.

The modern electric locomotive consumes 15% less electricity compared to its counterparts. This was achieved through the use of new technologies. NPM2M features excellent visibility, ease of operation, and an ergonomic workplace.

By the end of this year, MMK will receive two more NPM2M electric locomotives.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that BMZ sent 148 locomotives to customers.
