Russian military will receive a new batch of 6P59 Kord machine guns. The deliveries will be carried out by the Degtyarev plant.
At the Army-2024 military-technical forum, the head of the Main Directorate of Armaments of the Russian Armed Forces, Anatoly Gulyaev, and the head of sales of the manufacturing enterprise, Vladimir Mandelshtam, concluded a state contract for the supply of machine guns during the forum.
The belt-fed machine gun for the 12.7 by 108 mm cartridge is designed to engage manpower, aerial targets, and lightly armored vehicles at a distance of up to two kilometers.
The maximum rate of fire of the Kord is 650 rounds per minute. The 6P59 modification consists of a machine gun, a pintle mount, and a stand. The machine gun uses B-32 cartridges, which are capable of penetrating 20 millimeters of steel from a distance of 100 meters.

- Initial projectile velocity — 820-860 m/s
- Sighting range — 2000 m
- Maximum range — 6000 m (on a 6T7 tripod infantry mount)
Earlier www1.ru reported that at Army-2024 a newest UAV of the flying wing type was presented. The speed of the aircraft is up to 120 km/h, the communication range is 60 km/h, and the flight duration is up to 4.5 hours.
