The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute "Signal" of the "High-Precision Complexes" holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has developed the "Owl" system with remote control. It was presented at the "Army-2024" forum.
The new development will help artillerymen in organizing firing points. The system is capable of determining the coordinates of combat positions without satellite communication.
Thanks to this, the complex is able to operate in conditions of strong electronic warfare. This significantly increases the effectiveness of the solution in comparison with topographic systems that use GPS and other satellite positioning systems.
The topographic complex is presented on the basis of the "Depesha" wheeled platform, which is characterized by compactness and high cross-country ability. If communication is lost, it returns to the specified point automatically.
