The work "under the cover of night" of the BMD-4M crew, a modernized version of the airborne combat vehicle from "High-Precision Systems" of the Rostec State Corporation, has appeared on the Web. The Russian BMD-4M is designed to equip parachute-landing units, as well as to conduct maneuverable offensive and defensive operations in conjunction with other types and systems of the Airborne Forces weaponry.
The BMD-4M is an air-transportable amphibious combat vehicle on a tracked chassis. The crew of the BMD-4M consists of 3 people, but the vehicle is also capable of accommodating 7 equipped paratroopers.
A hydropneumatic suspension was installed on the landing platform, which allows you to change the ground clearance from 100 to 500 millimeters, which reduces the profile of the vehicle when using it in defense.
The BMD-4M is armed with a paired 7.62-millimeter PKTM machine gun. In addition, it is equipped with a 2A72 automatic cannon with a caliber of 30 mm and a 2A70 ATGM launcher with a caliber of 100 mm.
The vehicle can be landed at any specified point by parachute and landing methods.
