International Association of Dealers Sends Proposal to Prime Minister Mishustin

Russian authorities may, and most likely will, increase the recycling fee in the fall, according to auto experts. Among those who support this initiative is the International Association of Dealers (IAD), which includes dealers of LADA and Chery. The organization sent a letter to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin requesting an increase in the recycling fee rate.

Indexing the recycling fee will contribute to the formation of a civilized automotive market in the Russian Federation and more effective protection of the rights of dealers and car owners.

According to members of the organization, this will remove companies from the market that import foreign cars into the country but do not invest in car production. The IAD emphasizes that the money received by the state as a recycling fee will go towards modernizing car production.

It is worth noting that a decision on increasing the recycling fee has not yet been made, according to insiders. It is emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Trade continues to analyze the situation in the car market.

As a reminder, after the increase in the recycling fee, car prices will increase. This is the opinion of auto experts.
