Морское братство: фрегату «Штандарт» разрешили зайти в французский порт, чтобы пополнить запасы

Previously, due to anti-Russian sanctions, the crew was not allowed to disembark for long to replenish supplies, do laundry, and get spare parts for generator repair

The crew of the Shtandart faced a harsh reception from authorities and refusal to enter ports, despite the presence of children and teenagers on board, in Spain and France after the latest sanctions.

In Spain, at the end of July, the sailors managed to make a quick three-hour stop. They were able to change the crew, replenish food and water supplies, and obtain spare parts for the electric generator, which is connected to the ship's life support systems. After that, the Spanish authorities strongly requested the Shtandart to leave their territorial waters.

Both near the coasts of European countries and in neutral waters, the sailors of the sailing ship, a replica of Peter the First's flagship, were helped by other sailors, local residents, and yachtsmen. However, supplies began to run out again, and, as the captain of the ship, Vladimir Martus, told IA TASS, one of the French ports agreed to accept it for a short time.

The Shtandart is allowed to enter the port of La Rochelle to replenish supplies. This region is known for its maritime "character" and positive attitude towards everything maritime.

According to the captain, the team hopes to anchor for at least one or two days, and then head to northwestern France, where a maritime festival is planned. However, it is not yet known whether the «Штандарт» will be able to participate in the festival and rest in the port of La Rochelle for more than a few hours.
