At Baikonur, they began fueling the Progress MS-28 cargo spacecraft before launch.
According to RSC Energia, the cargo ship is being refueled with several types of fuel. These are:
- heptyl is the main fuel. It is used for spacecraft all over the world, as this substance is stable and has a wide range of operating temperatures;
- dinitrogen tetroxide is an oxidizer in a fuel pair that eliminates the need for ignition systems;
- nitrogen is used to pressurize fuel tanks. It creates pressure that helps control the flow of components into the spacecraft's engines.
In addition, Progress MS-28, as usual, is loaded with nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.
According to the plan, the cargo ship will launch to the ISS on August 15. The broadcast will be conducted on the social networks of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
