Rostec Ships Another Batch of 152 mm "Malva" Howitzers to the Troops

The Rostec State Corporation has sent a new batch of 2S43 "Malva" self-propelled artillery guns with a caliber of 152 mm to the Armed Forces of Russia. This is the first domestic wheeled howitzer created on a chassis with an 8x8 formula.

Rostec noted that the gun is designed to destroy defensive structures, command posts, air defense positions, artillery and missile batteries, columns of armored vehicles, and enemy manpower.

The howitzer has a "simultaneous fire raid" mode, when several shells fired along different trajectories and at different speeds reach the target at the same time.

Another important advantage of the complex is improved maneuverability. The physical dimensions of the "Malva" allow it to be transported by military transport aircraft, because the gun fits into the cargo cabin of the Il-76 and can be quickly delivered over long distances.

2S43 is distinguished by the speed of deployment and retraction to the position. This is very important in the context of intense counter-battery combat in the special operation zone. The self-propelled gun has cabin armor made of high-strength steel grades, which provides protection against small arms and shrapnel.
