Warships practiced jointly rescuing a crew from a distressed vessel. According to the scenario of the naval part of "Indra-2024," after receiving distress signals at sea, the corvette of the Baltic Fleet "Soobrazitelny" and the frigate "Tabar" of the Indian Navy (Navy) had to change course and go to help. The search was complicated by floating mines.
In the designated area, joint actions were practiced to rescue people from the surface of the water and provide them with the necessary medical assistance. During this episode of the exercise, specialized mannequins in rescue suits were used.
In addition, the crews of the Russian and Indian warships, using radio equipment, jointly practiced searching for and destroying floating mines. The detected targets were successfully destroyed by fire from ship artillery installations. Also, the sailors improved their skills in transferring cargo by the traverse method at sea using standard ship cranes.
"Soobrazitelny" is the first of the Project 20380 corvettes developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. These multipurpose patrol ships are designed to perform various tasks in the coastal zone: from combating surface ships and enemy submarines to supporting amphibious operations.
They have good maneuverability and an impressive arsenal - each has anti-ship missiles, artillery installations, anti-submarine weapons and a helicopter on board. At the same time, the hull and superstructure of the corvettes use materials with radio-absorbing properties, making them inconspicuous to enemy radars.
