Russian 122-mm D-30 howitzers on the front line received homemade anti-drone shells. Also, the protection of the gun was reinforced with sets of enhanced dynamic protection "Kontakt-1", the Telegram channel Milinfolive reported.
In the published footage, you can see that the gun is protected in three projections. Thanks to this, important structural parts of the howitzer will remain out of danger. The threat of enemy hexacopters remains relevant, so the personnel are trying to independently strengthen the protection of the weapons entrusted to them.
In the troops, the D-30 received the nickname "Snow White" by association with the cartoon of the same name. Its calculation mainly involves seven people.
