Russian tanks used on the front lines are equipped with video cameras and solid protective screens. The main focus is on improving combat vehicles with "tsar-mangal", reported the Telegram channel @izvestia.
Journalists noted that tanks have limited visibility, which makes it difficult for the crew to assess the situation on the battlefield, and the installation of additional protective elements partially exacerbates this problem. Tanks are mainly hit from above or from the side, which makes detecting drones and anti-tank missiles difficult.
For this reason, tankers not only strengthen the protection of their vehicles, but also equip them with video cameras that are installed outside the armor. Interaction with unmanned aviation plays a key role.
During combat operations, we are constantly in contact with an observer who monitors the situation and the tank's operation from the air.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a batch of the latest T-90M tanks with the Kalina fire control system arrived in the Russian Armed Forces.
