According to him, the authorities of El Salvador would like to strengthen the energy system by building a medium-sized reactor. At the same time, Argentina is showing interest in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

Dybov said that Rosatom is currently implementing projects related to the nuclear fuel cycle in the region. This includes a contract with Brazil to supply enriched uranium for the Angra NPP.

The agreement 100% covers the needs of the nuclear facility in uranium until 2027. The Brazilian authorities will consider the Russian corporation's proposal for handling spent nuclear fuel. Dybov added that Rosatom also supplies enriched uranium for a nuclear power plant in Mexico.
