The work was carried out by the Ruselectronics holding company of the Rostec State Corporation. Specialists from the Television Research Institute, part of the holding, inspected, maintained, and repaired the internal and external video surveillance systems consisting of 52 cameras. The video surveillance system was installed on the cruiser Aurora almost eight years ago, and no work has been done on it since then.
The cruiser Aurora is an iconic object of Russia's historical and cultural heritage. The video surveillance system was installed on it in 2016 and has not undergone full service since then. The updated system is adapted to the specifics of shipboard use, including being more resistant to humid and salty environments, and has a long service life
Institute employees replaced more than 15 cameras, updated power supply and data transmission systems, and installed modern software for managing video surveillance systems.
Previously, the Television Research Institute developed a new domestic heat-resistant video surveillance system for metallurgical, chemical, and glass production facilities to monitor production processes. It can withstand up to 1600-1800 degrees Celsius and will replace imported counterparts in Russia.
