"Ghoul" drones and cumulative warheads of PG-7VS grenades confidently burn through additional tank armor

Russian military personnel on the front lines are using the "Ghoul" strike FPV drone with high efficiency against armored vehicles. As a result, the enemy is forced to resort to measures to increase the protection of tanks, in particular, the American M1A1SA.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev clarified that the vehicles are equipped with improvised low-profile anti-cumulative anti-drone "visors" of a low-profile configuration. They cover the upper armor plate of the turret with a thickness of 55 - 70 mm, as well as elements of 4S20 "Kontakt-1", covering the frontal armor plates of the turret.

Meanwhile, protection against combat of the "striking core" type is not provided, nor is protection of the side armor plates of the turret against tandem cumulative warheads of 9M113M ATGM missiles of Konkurs-M complexes.

The tactical and technical characteristics of the "Ghoul" and data on the drone manufacturer are not disclosed. According to open sources, it is capable of carrying grenades for RPG-7 — PG-7VL, RKG-3M hand-held anti-tank grenades, as well as homemade high-explosive fragmentation charges. The range is estimated at 3-5 km.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian electronic warfare diverted a western GMLRS projectile and saved the "Malva" self-propelled gun from the strike. As a result, domestic equipment escaped with minor damage.
