Footage has appeared online of the flight of two-seater deck-based "4+" generation multirole combat trainers MiG-29KUB of naval aviation of the Russian Navy over the waters of the Baltic Sea.
The machines operated without mock-ups of air-to-air missile weapons, which may indicate either "running in" of an updated software of the weapon control system, or the training of pilots in the places of navigators-operators, the Telegram channel @RussianArms reported.
The aircraft were equipped with central underwing fuel tanks (PTB) with a capacity of 2150 liters to increase the range and perform all the tasks assigned. The fighters received a MIL-STD-1760 multiplex data bus, which ensures the integration of a wide range of missile and bomb weapons. From multipurpose Kh-35U and Kh-59MK2 missiles to Kh-38MTE/MLE/MAE, as well as air combat missiles R-77-1.
In addition, the aircraft received more advanced radar systems "Zhuk-M" with a target detection range with an effective reflecting surface of 3 m² at a distance of about 110 km.
The maximum speed of the machine can reach 2100 km/h, practical ceiling - 17500 m. New turbojet engines of the 3M series with a total afterburner thrust of 17400 kg/s are installed.
Earlier it became known that in Russia created the newest cruise missile called "Product 720". It embodies the best domestic design ideas.
