Russian 220-mm heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" received small-sized high-energy electronic warfare systems to counter command and telemetry control channels of enemy FPV drones of the dome type.
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the systems have an expanded frequency range from 300 to 6000 MHz.
In addition, the ammunition load of the "Solntsepyoks" has been supplemented with a more advanced thermobaric rocket projectile with a range of up to 10,000 m thanks to a new, more high-impulse solid-propellant engine and a slight reduction in the weight of the warhead.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian military came up with a new type of ammunition for dropping from an FPV drone. The range of these ammunition is made in modifications of 2 and 3 kg with a significant fragmentation field and more powerful high-explosive action than that of standard VOG-17 ammunition.
