The three-ton high-explosive aerial bomb FAB-3000 is capable of covering an area of 11 football fields with an explosion. The shock wave from one such bomb can destroy a platoon strongpoint of the enemy, according to the Rostec state corporation.
FAB-3000 bombs have an explosive charge of about one and a half tons. In practice, this means that an explosion creates a shock wave that can destroy a target such as a platoon strongpoint of the enemy with open-type earthen fortifications.
Rostec added that in units of area, such a bomb, in the absence of significant obstacles to the damaging factors of the explosion, is capable of covering 11 football fields.
Deputy General Director of Rostec Vladimir Artyakov added that the use of FAB family bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules (UPCM) helps to demonstrate successful results on the front line.
