In Moscow, an electric scooter was confiscated for the first time by a court decision. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) for Moscow.
The violator turned out to be a student; he had to give his Dualtron ultra scooter to the state. The basis for the confiscation was hitting an elderly woman while intoxicated.
In connection with the repeated nature of the offense, the court, guided by Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subjected to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated), ordered the seizure of the vehicle used in the commission of the crime, into state ownership and deprived the Muscovite of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for 18 months.
After the initiation of legal proceedings, the violator refused to appear before the bailiff. He was subjected to forced detention.
It is worth noting that the authorities have seriously taken up the problem of traffic violations by personal mobility device drivers. In Moscow, scooter riders have already begun to be fined for refusing to dismount at a pedestrian crossing.
One of the first fined was millionaire Valery Gylka. The violation was recorded on an outdoor video camera, and the perpetrator was found by the electric scooter number. The fine amounted to 1 thousand rubles.
Earlier www1.ru reported that numbers and radio tags will be installed on electric scooters.
