Doctor Aybolit to the Rescue: Russian Armed Forces Begin Testing Ground Drone for Evacuating Soldiers on the Front Lines

The "Aybolit" drone is capable of traversing difficult terrain and transporting up to two people

Russian military personnel have begun testing a new prototype of the "Aybolit" ground drone. The unmanned vehicle was created to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.

Soldiers noted that it is sometimes difficult to reach the wounded due to enemy strikes, but the maneuverable "Aybolit" is capable of traversing difficult terrain.

The development is a structure in the form of a "stretcher" on a metal frame with three pairs of wheels on independent suspensions. An adult man can easily fit on such a rescue drone.

The drone is electric and silent. "Aybolit" is remotely controlled by an operator. The drone has sufficient speed and payload capacity, for example, it can move at about 20 km/h while transporting two men.

Earlier, www1.ru reported on the capabilities of the Russian Viking anti-aircraft missile system. The complex has the ability to autonomously use self-propelled firing units, including radar illumination and guidance with launchers.
