PAO "Sollers" will begin production of minivans at the plant in Yelabuga in December 2024. This was announced at the "Innoprom" exhibition by Zoya Kaika, Deputy General Director of the company. According to her, it will be one model, which will be presented to the public in the fall.
This is a unique product specifically for Russian production.
She emphasized that sales in the minivan segment are growing due to imported models, and this niche is interesting for both families and private clients.
It became known at the end of May that "Sollers" intends to launch minivan production. Insiders believe that it will be the JAC Refine car. This seems logical, because "Sollers" already produces JAC brand cars.
As a reminder, after the departure of foreign automakers from the Russian market, the most affordable minivan among new models remains the "Sobol NN Minivan". The cost of such a car starts from 3 million 700 thousand rubles, which is not very budget-friendly for a large family.
