У врага нет «окна» для смены позиции под огнем «Ноны»: названа особенность мощной российской самоходки

Military expert Damantsev: the "Nona-SVK" has a radar installed, like on the pre-production self-propelled guns "Coalition-SV"

Russian servicemen are using the 2S23 "Nona-SVK" self-propelled artillery gun (SPG) in combat operations. Its main technical feature is a Doppler radar complex (RLC) for fire control/correction integrated into the fire control system (FCS). Similar radars are installed on the first pre-production 2S35 "Coalition-SV" SPGs. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

According to him, RLCs of this type operate in the X-/Ku-bands of centimeter waves. They are capable of calculating the parameters of the ascending branch of the first projectile's trajectory with an accuracy of up to hundredths of a degree in azimuth and elevation. Taking this into account, the FCS corrects the elevation angle and azimuthal position of the gun, and then conducts more accurate fire even before the first projectile reaches the target.

The enemy's gun crews do not have even a small "window" of time to change positions.
Evgeny Damantsev, military expert

Damantsev recalled that earlier, thanks to the Doppler radar, the "Nona" SPG crew hit an enemy Bradley BMP of American production.
