Telegram отделался рублем: мессенджер Павла Дурова оштрафовали на 3 миллиона

The reason is the refusal to remove prohibited information from public access

The Tagansky Court of Moscow has issued a decision regarding the Telegram messenger. Telegram Messenger Inc was ordered to pay a fine of 3 million rubles. The reason for this was the refusal to remove calls for anti-government actions from its platform.

Initially, the company faced a maximum fine of 4 million rubles.

The court ruled to find Telegram Messenger Inc guilty under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (failure by the owner of an information resource on the Internet to remove information if the obligation to remove such information is provided for by law) and to impose a penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of 3 million rubles.

The prohibited information in the messenger was discovered during an inspection by Roskomnadzor. The agency sent a request to the company, demanding that the data be removed from public access, but it was ignored.

It is noted that none of the Telegram representatives came to court. The decision was made in absentia.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Moscow court fined the Russian "daughter" of Google 10 billion rubles.
