Transactions for asset withdrawal were declared invalid

The Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow ordered the recovery of 10 billion rubles from Google. The plaintiff was the Russian subsidiary LLC "Google". This was reported in the press service of the metropolitan court.

The court declared invalid two transactions that were concluded in 2021. The first concerned the transfer of 500 million rubles of taxes on these dividends to the budget of the Russian Federation, and the second concerned the transfer of 9.5 billion rubles to the accounts of Google International LLC. Both operations took place against the background of the bankruptcy of Google LLC and were concluded in order to withdraw assets.

By the decision of the Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow, the claims of the bankruptcy trustee of Google LLC Valery Talyarovsky were partially satisfied and 10 billion rubles were recovered from Google International LLC in favor of Google LLC.

Lawsuits from the Russian subsidiary of Google were filed against 13 Russian companies. The total amount of claims amounted to 10 billion rubles, the maximum for each case is 3 billion rubles. The defendant companies were engaged in advertising and marketing.

Google LLC was declared bankrupt in June 2022. Later it was established that the bankruptcy procedure was initiated deliberately. The Federal Bailiff Service seized all funds from the bank accounts of the Russian division of Google.
