Смертельная посылка врагам: ВС России на передовой освоили тактику дистанционного минирования дронами

Mine-laying drones are capable of arming a projectile in the air and dropping it

Russian military personnel at the forefront have mastered a new method of remote mining using unmanned aerial vehicles. Mine-laying drones, with the help of special mechanisms, are capable of arming a projectile in the air and dropping it.

The drone delivers the projectile to the desired location, 2–6 km from the line of demarcation. After that, it returns to the operator.

The most common projectile remains the POM-2 anti-personnel fragmentation mine. When armed, four thin 10-meter nylon threads are released from the mine's body, acting as tripwire sensors. The circular damage radius of the projectile is 16 m.

The choice of drop points depends on the tasks set for us by intelligence. Most often, these are road intersections, entrances and exits from the forest, well-trodden paths, routes used for delivering ammunition or rotation.
