Ударный «утёнок»: новая партия бомбардировщиков Су-34 поступила на фронт

Rostec's First Deputy General Director Vladimir Artyakov noted that this machine is in high demand in the Russian Armed Forces

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) has handed over another batch of Su-34 bombers to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as part of the implementation of the state defense order. After a series of factory tests, the aircraft were sent to the troops.

The aircraft's capabilities allow pilots to effectively perform tasks in any theater of operations using unguided and guided air-to-surface weapons.
Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec

UAC General Director Yuri Slyusar emphasized that the corporation is increasing the production of aircraft and attracting new employees to the factories. In particular, more than 600 new employees have been hired at the Chkalov Aviation Plant in Novosibirsk since the beginning of the year.

To do this, we are improving technological and business processes at our production facilities, and finding additional reserves to increase production volumes.
Yuri Slyusar, General Director of UAC

The Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to destroy ground, surface and air targets, infrastructure facilities, covered by air defense systems and located at significant distances from the airfield of basing.

The aircraft can operate under fire and electronic countermeasures from the enemy day and night, in difficult meteorological conditions. Among the Russian military, Su-34 received the nickname "duckling" due to the nose of the aircraft, resembling a duck's beak.
