The domestic quadcopter X-89 was presented at the HeliRussia-2024 exhibition. It features an impressive payload capacity of 12 kg, although it weighs only 15 kg itself.
The drone developer is the company "Kotlin-Novator." The drone production has already shifted to mass production, with the main customer being the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The drone received a 4K camera and a communication channel with protection against interference. If necessary, operators can combine the operation of a thermal imager, laser designator, and other optoelectronic modules.
The X-89 is an all-weather aircraft capable of operating in a temperature range from -30 to +50 degrees. The drone is capable of automatically flying along a given route, but if necessary, the operator can take control. The battery charge lasts for 32 minutes of flight. The range is 20 kilometers.
The developers are working on integrating technical vision into the X-89 using elements of artificial intelligence. Thanks to this, the unmanned aerial vehicle will be able to solve strike and reconnaissance tasks.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a Russian combat robot "Scorpion-M" appeared on the front line. It is used to destroy dugouts and evacuate soldiers.
