Russian military personnel on the front lines have begun using the "Scorpion-M" combat wheeled robot. Initially, the drone was intended for evacuating the wounded and delivering ammunition to the military, but then it began to be used to destroy strongholds.
"Scorpion-M" is a light-class ground robotic vehicle. Initially, we planned to use it for transportation and evacuation. But through minor modifications, we came to the point where we now use it to destroy bunkers.
The bodies of small ground drones are made as low as possible, as movement mainly occurs over rough terrain, and the machines themselves are camouflaged.
In such conditions, the video cameras placed on the body sometimes do not allow operators to fully orient themselves on the ground. Therefore, ground drones are often used in tandem with an aerial observer drone. The combat vehicle operator, receiving a picture from the air, often drives the vehicle, orienting himself from a top view.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia created a unique Perun strike and transport unmanned aerial vehicle. It is capable of landing soldiers in the enemy's rear, delivering ammunition, and dropping shells.
