Russian electronic units can compete with foreign counterparts

KamAZ K3 and KamAZ K5 trucks will be equipped with electronic units from the "Itelma" company. They meet the requirements of the truck giant and can compete with foreign counterparts.

The design of the electronic units uses Russian-made printed circuit boards, domestic passive components, and connectors. In the future, "Itelma" wants microcontrollers and microchips to be import-substituted as well.

Conducting a large-scale development of a set of sanction-resistant electronics is an important step towards technological independence, both for our company and for the Russian automotive industry as a whole.
Sergey Kogogin, General Director of PJSC "KamAZ"

Domestic electronic units will reduce the cost of electronics in trucks. According to Kogogin, "Itelma's" solutions will soon begin to be installed on KamAZ trucks, and later similar units will be installed in "Moskvich" cars.
