Девятитонные корпуса для российских ЗРК начали производить в Липецке

The first serial housing has already been delivered to the customer

Lipetsk Mechanical Plant (LLC "LMZ", part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) has shipped its first new serial housing for the anti-aircraft missile system to the customer. The massive product has previously undergone the entire cycle of necessary tests and checks.

The nine-ton housing for the anti-aircraft missile system is made of special steel. Significant preparation was required to organize the serial production of such housings.

Solving the problem of serial production of housings required a colossal amount of work from us in preparing production, as well as in recruiting and training personnel. Today, the plant is ready to increase the rate of production of this type of product.
Veniamin Sizov, Executive Director of LLC "LMZ"

At the end of 2023, the "Kalashnikov" concern announced the transfer of LMZ to the rails of repairing military equipment from the second quarter of 2024.

[...] [LMZ] may become a key enterprise in the cluster for the repair of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) in the future. To do this, the plant must complete the reconstruction of the areas, manufacture the necessary equipment and special tools, obtain design documentation, train personnel and conduct its certification.

Earlier in 2024, LMZ has already mastered the repair of tracked vehicles for anti-aircraft missile systems to implement these plans.
