Начнут следить за самокатчиками: в России появятся камеры для фиксации нарушений водителей СИМ

The Ministry of Transport has already prepared a competitive application for the project implementation

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Transport) plans to create automatic recording systems for violations by riders of personal mobility devices (PMD). This became known from the department's competitive application.

The essence of the idea is to use separate cameras to track violations using PMDs. The system will contain individual tags and a complex of photo and video recording.

Vehicles are planned to be identified using a registration number. The data will be combined with a tag for remote recognition of numbers.

In addition to the photo and video recording complex, it is planned to develop a special mobile application and a PMD control system.

The vehicles for photo and video recording include electric scooters, electric scooters, gyroscooters, segways, monowheels and other PMDs.

The creation of a new system should be associated with the future introduction of fines for PMD users who violate traffic rules and rules of conduct in the urban environment.

The question remains: how will the new initiative help to record violations if only electric scooters of kicksharing services have license plates? And how do the authorities plan to identify monowheels, segways and gyroscooters, which cannot be assigned a number due to their small size and design features?

A separate question is the recording of violations committed by drivers on personal PMDs. Recall that there is still no law.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that electric scooters that returned to the streets of Moscow received numbers.
