Russian Post will use an intelligent modeling (IM) system in postal logistics between 2024 and 2026. A Skolkovo resident will partner in the project. They are involved in creating and supporting information systems for optimization platforms. Thanks to IM, the post office will automate routine operations and be able to build more optimal routes.
The system will be able to calculate the forecast of postal items arriving at each stage of the logistics chain. After that, the AI will offer the final recipient the optimal postal delivery routes. Initial calculations have shown that the system will help Russian Post reduce delivery times by excluding unnecessary transport hubs from the route.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian Post had begun using electric autonomous trucks at the Vnukovo-2 logistics center. The devices will help the company optimize logistics, reduce costs, and increase control over transportation.
