The 2B11 120-mm mortar is one of the most common in the Russian army due to its reliability and ease of operation. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed a video of the combat crew working with this type of weapon.
The published footage shows how a crew of three went to a combat position, quickly made adjustments and fired several shots.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that the 120-mm mortar is designed to destroy enemy manpower located in the open and in shelters, as well as its fire weapons with indirect fire.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec transferred a fresh batch of 120-mm 2B11 mortars to the Russian Armed Forces. Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the complex of conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemistry of the Rostec State Corporation, described them as “reliable and effective tools for destroying a wide range of targets - from manpower and lightly armored vehicles to long-term shelters at enemy strongholds.”
