ANC Bashneft, a subsidiary of NK Rosneft, has launched a new gas processing plant at the Metelinskoye field in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The high-tech plant will process 17.5 million cubic meters of permeate flow per year, which is generated during the purification of natural and associated petroleum gases.
The permeate treatment unit is a fragment of Bashneft's large automated gas treatment complex. The first stage of the complex, with a membrane gas separation block box, made it possible to obtain more than 40,000 m3 of "blue fuel" per day in winter for the distribution gas pipeline in the Duvansky district of Bashkortostan. This is more than three thousand households.
The commissioning of the second stage of the complex made it possible to double the production of commercial gas by involving APG in production and obtaining a mixture of natural and associated petroleum gases with a high degree of purification. Part of the gas produced is sent to consumers, another part is used as fuel for the generation of own electricity at the Meteli gas-piston power plant, which generates more than 75 million kWh of electricity per year. This ensures the operation of equipment at the Arlanskoye and Naratovskoye fields of the company in the Krasnokamsky district of the republic.
Now the final stage of the complex has been launched. The new production cycle will bring the level of beneficial use of associated petroleum gas to more than 96%. The harmful impact on the environment will be lower, and industrial and domestic consumers will receive more environmentally friendly fuel.
