Telegram messenger became the most popular online service among Russians in the first quarter of 2024. This was reported by Kommersant, citing a study by the operator Yota.

Users most often connected unlimited access specifically to Telegram, although a year ago the messenger was fourth in the ranking of the most popular services.

The second most popular messenger is WhatsApp, which was the leader for the same period in 2023. The third is the YouTube video service, and the top 5 are closed by the VK social network and TikTok.

At the same time, if the young audience aged 14 to 27 mainly communicates in Telegram, then subscribers over 30 still prefer WhatsApp.

Earlier www1.ru reported that in the first quarter of 2024, Yandex services became the most popular Internet resources among Russians.
