The crew of the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" conducted exercises to protect a group of ships of the Northern Fleet from an air attack in the Atlantic Ocean. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the exercise scenario, three targets approached the ships from different altitudes and directions. The personnel of combat detection posts, anti-aircraft fire and electronic warfare practiced issuing and receiving target designation.
Then the "Poliment-Redut" anti-aircraft missile system, the "Palash" anti-aircraft missile and artillery system, and the A192M universal ship artillery system came into play.
With the help of computer modeling, the sailors repelled the attack of a conditional enemy, and all calculations coped with the task with a grade of at least "good".
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia started exercises on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.
